Thomas Le

Thomas has a deep set of investment experiences in the technology, media and communications sectors, having spent a career investing across every stage of the company lifecycle. As a Co-Founder and Partner of Shoal Harbor Capital, Thomas is responsible for investment strategy, sourcing, transaction execution and portfolio management.  He also serves as a member of the firm’s investment committee.

Prior to Shoal Harbor Capital, Thomas co-led the M&A team at Ziff Davis (Nasdaq: ZD), where he was responsible for acquisitions in multiple technology sub-verticals spanning digital media, commerce technology, and software.  Thomas contributed to over 40 completed transactions resulting in over $3.0 billion of investment value. Representative transactions include CNET, RetailMeNot, TDS Gift Cards, and the IPO of Consensus Cloud Solutions.

Previously, Thomas was an early and growth stage investor at Tenfore Holdings, focusing on consumer internet and software companies. He contributed to the firm’s investments in Trulioo, SupplyShift, Optoro, and GameChanger, among others. Thomas also spent time focused on large cap public equity research and investing during his time at Lazard Capital Markets and Kings Point Capital, where he specialized in media and internet.  He began his career as an equity investment professional at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

Thomas earned a BBA Finance with High Honors from The McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a CFA® Charterholder.
